Top-ups

50 credits · $15 · 30¢ each · don't expire

When billing opens, you can buy them on any plan, Free included, without changing plans. Plan credits work out to about 19¢ (Starter), 16¢ (Pro) and 13¢ (Scale).

Plan credits you don't use roll over for one month, then expire. Top-up credits and your 25 sign-up credits don't expire. Prices in US dollars.

Pastefront takes no cut of your sales today: it earns from plans and top-ups. The one exception is print-on-demand on Pastefront's Printify account: a Printify product costs you Printify's production cost plus 25%, and Pastefront keeps the 25%. Connect your own Printify account instead and there's no cut: each product costs 10 credits to make, and Printify bills you directly. Stripe's card fee comes out of each sale, as with any Stripe account.

Building the store is the easy bit.

A store with no visitors makes no sales, and Pastefront doesn't bring you visitors. What it does is show you what a sale leaves you before you spend any money.

Slow shipping is flagged
If the supplier's delivery estimate is over 12 days, the dashboard warns you before you build.
No knockoffs
Branded, designer and licensed-character goods are refused, along with regulated and hazardous products.
Free if it fails the check
The safety check runs before anything is charged, so a product we can't sell costs you nothing.
Failed builds are refunded
If a build doesn't finish, the credits it used come back to you automatically.

Questions

Do I need a Shopify account?

No. Pastefront hosts your store at its own pastefront.com address. When checkout opens, buyers pay through your own Stripe account. If you already sell on Shopify, you can bring your products, pages and order history over, all of it or only what you pick.

Who is the seller, me or Pastefront?

You are. It's your store and your customers. Pastefront builds and runs the software.

What does Pastefront take from each sale?

Nothing on CJ or AliExpress products. Pastefront earns from the monthly plan and credit top-ups. The one exception is print-on-demand on Pastefront's Printify account: a Printify product costs you Printify's production cost plus 25%, and Pastefront keeps the 25%. If you connect your own Printify account there's no cut: each product costs 10 credits to make, and Printify bills you directly. Stripe's card fee comes out of each sale, and refunds and chargebacks come out of your Stripe account, as they would for any seller.

Who pays the supplier?

When checkout opens, for CJ products: as each buyer pays, Pastefront keeps the product cost and CJ's shipping from that sale and pays CJ to send the order. The rest goes to your Stripe account, and you don't need a CJ account. Printify products work the same way, at Printify's cost plus Pastefront's 25%, and you don't need a Printify account; or connect your own Printify account and Printify charges you for each order. AliExpress orders you place and pay for yourself on AliExpress.

What happens if I stop paying for my plan?

Your store keeps taking orders for 3 days after the plan ends, then stops until you're on a plan again. The store and its products stay in your dashboard.

Which links work?

CJ Dropshipping and AliExpress product links import directly. For a link from another site, you can ask CJ to find the same product. Asking is free, there's no set time, and they may not find it. For print-on-demand, you pick a product from Printify's catalog and upload your design.

Where can my store sell?

To shoppers in the US for now. Shipping quotes, the duty estimate and the store policies are worked out for US delivery.

Will Pastefront bring me customers?

No. Pastefront builds the store and, once checkout opens, takes the orders. Finding buyers is up to you: ads, posts, people you know. On Pro, Pastefront writes ad copy for Meta and TikTok; you run the ads in your own ad accounts and pay the platforms yourself.

How do credits work?

You start with 25 credits and one free store build. Importing a product costs 3 credits, a store build 40 after the free one, a chat edit 1 (paid plans). If something fails, the credits come back. When billing opens, plans include monthly credits, and you can top up at 30¢ a credit without changing plans.

What can't I sell?

Anything Stripe prohibits, plus branded or licensed goods, supplements and health claims, hazardous items and products that need safety certification.

Do I collect sales tax?

You can turn on Stripe Tax for each store. It works out and collects US sales tax at checkout once Stripe Tax is set up in your own Stripe account, which charges for it. You're the seller, so where you have to register and file depends on where you and your buyers are. Ask an accountant.

Try it with a real product link.

Your first build is free. If the product can't be sold, you find out before you spend a credit.
