Copyright and reporting a store

Last updated 2026-10-25

Stores on Pastefront are built and run by independent sellers, who are responsible for what their stores show and sell. If a store uses your photos, designs or writing without permission, or there's another problem with it, tell us and we'll look into it.

Sending a copyright notice

The quickest way is the report form, which asks for everything below. A written notice must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is enough);
  • the work you say is copied, or a list of them if there are several;
  • where the copy is on the store, with the page address, so we can find it;
  • your name, address, phone number and email address;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.

Send notices through the report form, which reaches the people who handle them.

Knowingly saying something is infringing when it isn't can make you liable for the damages that causes.

What happens next

When a notice is complete, we remove the material or take the store offline, and we tell the seller, who may receive a copy of the notice. If a notice is missing something, we may ask you for it.

If your store was taken down

If you think material was removed by mistake or misidentified, you can send a counter-notice to hello@pastefront.com, with your signature, what was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentified, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address and to accept service from the person who sent the notice.

We send the counter-notice to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they've filed a court action, we may put the material back 10 to 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of sellers who repeatedly infringe other people's copyright.

Other problems with a store

Fakes or misuse of your brand, an order that never came, a store that misled you, or a product that's unsafe or banned: use the report form. For a problem with your own order, write to the store first: its contact link is at the bottom of every page of the store. See also the Terms of service.
